2.8 Selecting the Weighbridge Model<br />

Operation<br />

By entering the code number of your <strong>Thermo</strong> Scientific scale on the next screen,<br />

the Integrator automatically calculates parameters of the system such as number<br />

of load cells and number of weigh idlers. This entry is also used for internal<br />

calibration calculations. The default model number is 1, which corresponds to<br />

belt scale model 10-20-1.<br />

Press ENTER to accept the displayed selection from the database listed in<br />

Appendix A/1, Weighbridge Parameters. If ENTER is used, the scrolls from<br />

3A to 3J are not displayed. Skip to Step 12.<br />

Press DETAIL if you want to force the following scrolls #3A to 3O to be<br />

displayed even if ENTER was used.<br />

Enter 0 if you want to define the weighbridge not using the database. This<br />

should only be done for special weighbridges that are not part of the standard set<br />

of <strong>Thermo</strong> Scientific scales. Entering 0 forces the following scrolls 3A to 3O to<br />

be displayed.<br />

2.8.1 Detailing the Mechanical Parameters of the Frame<br />

The following screens are only displayed if OTHER or DETAIL was pressed.<br />

Refer to. The information in the following section is that which was recorded<br />

earlier in Section 2.6.<br />

2.8.1.1 Parameter LA: pivot to Load Cell Distance<br />

The distance from pivot to load cell should be measured to within 0.032 (1/32)<br />

inch (1 mm).<br />
