Press START, the following screens display in sequence:<br />
The message “Test PASSED” is displayed if the test runs correctly. If<br />
something wrong is detected, the message “Test FAILED” is displayed and the<br />
soft key CONTINUE is shown. Press CONTINUE and move to the next test.<br />
If the internal test has failed, call <strong>Thermo</strong> Scientific Customer Service.<br />
4.6 Load Cell Excitation and Signal Voltage<br />
1. Measure excitation voltage across terminal 21 negative and 20 positive in<br />
the scale junction box. This should be 10 VDC ± 5%.<br />
2. If the excitation voltage is incorrect then measure the excitation voltage in<br />
the Integrator across terminal TB4-33 negative and the TB4-32 positive.<br />
This should be 10 VDC ± 5%.<br />
3. Measure DC millivolt signal voltage across terminal 22 positive and 23<br />
negative in the scale junction box. This should be within 0-30 millivolts DC<br />
(3 mV/V load cell).<br />
4. Measure DC millivolt signal voltage across terminal TB3-30 positive and<br />
TB4-31 negative in the Integrator. This should be the same as Step 3<br />
above.<br />
5. The millivolt output is in direct relation to weight applied. As weight is<br />
increased, output should increase.<br />
