About 585 species belonging to 368 genera under 37 families are so far reported from<br />

<strong>Andaman</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Nicobar</strong> Isl<strong>and</strong>s. Of these 530 species are recorded from <strong>Andaman</strong>s <strong>and</strong> 117<br />

species from <strong>Nicobar</strong> Isl<strong>and</strong>s. Of these, 194 species are endemic to the isl<strong>and</strong>s.<br />
