PROCEDURE<br />

1. Press and hold ON button until colorimeter turns on.<br />

2. Press ENTER to start.<br />

3. Press ENTER to select <strong>TEST</strong>ING MENU.<br />

4. Select ALL <strong>TEST</strong>S (or another sequence containing 36 Cyanuric)<br />

from <strong>TEST</strong>ING MENU.<br />

5. Scroll to and select 36 Cyanuric from menu.<br />

6. Rinse a clean tube (0290) with sample water. Fill to the 10 mL line with<br />

sample.<br />

7. Insert tube into chamber, close lid and select SCAN BLANK.<br />

8. Remove tube from colorimeter and pour out water. Use a graduated<br />

cylinder or similar to measure 5 mL of sample water and pour into<br />

colorimeter tube.<br />

9. Use the 5 mL syringe (0807) to add 5 mL of *Cyanuric Acid Test Solution<br />

(4856). Cap and mix thoroughly. A precipitate will form if cyanuric acid is<br />

present. Wait 1 minute.<br />

NOTE: This reagent bottle has a special fitting which enables the syringe<br />

to be inserted into the top of the bottle. With syringe in place, invert<br />

bottle and withdraw syringe plunger until 5 mL of reagent is contained in<br />

the syringe barrel. Remove syringe from reagent bottle and depress plunger<br />

to dispense into the tube.<br />

10. At end of 1 minute waiting period, mix thoroughly, insert tube into<br />

chamber, close lid and select SCAN SAMPLE. Record result.<br />

11. Press OFF button to turn colorimeter off or press EXIT button to exit to a<br />

previous menu or make another menu selection.<br />

NOTE: For the most accurate results, the sample and reagents should be at 25<br />

±4°C.<br />
