The Fight with Maid Marian and the Sheriff Aykut Akkaya, 6a
One day Robin and Maid Marian went to the Sheriff, because Marian wanted to fight
with him. On their way Robin saw a man with a mask. He was big and strong. He
said: “Can you beat me?” Robin answered: “Yes, of course! I can do many tricks and
with my tricks I can beat you. Here is also Maid Marian and she is a good fighter, too.
If I lose against you, Maid Marian will win.” The man laughed and the fight began.
Robin took his bow and arrow and tried to shoot him, but he missed the man. The
man gave him a kick, but Robin blocked. But Robin knew a trick, he called: “Behind
you there is Little John! He wants to attack you. Take care.” The man turned around
and Robin threw him to the ground. Robin won and the man said: ”Today isn’t my
happy day, that is the reason why you won.”
Robin and Marian went on to the Sheriff. When they arrived Marian said to the
Sheriff: “I want to fight against you and if I win you must not take the money from the
poor people anymore.” The Sheriff said “Ok” and the fight began. Marian kicked him
with her leg, but she missed the Sheriff. Then the Sheriff hit, but missed, too. Then
Marian punched the Sheriff and he fell to the ground and lost the fight. Robin and
Marian were happy and the Sheriff didn’t take money from the poor anymore.
Robin Hood and the Archery Competition Lisa-Marie Korte, 6a
Robin Hood and Little John were in the forest and they were happy, because they ate
some fresh fruit. “Oh, that’s a good life,” aid Robin. “Yes, it is,” answered Little John.
Then they saw Prince John, the bad King. They wanted to trick him. They put on
some old clothes and went to Prince John. Little John said: “Me and my wife here are
very poor. Can you give us some money?” Then came “the woman”. “She” went
behind the prince and robbed jewels and money.
On the next day the Sheriff and Prince John were angry about this and they wanted
to trick Robin. They set up an archery competition, because they knew that Robin
was the best shooter. The prize was a day with Maid Marian, Robin’s big love.
So Robin dressed up and went to the archery competition, but Friar Tuck, Little John
and Will Scarlet, his friends were there, too, because they wanted to help Robin
when the Sheriff saw him. The archery competition started and Robin was better than
the Sheriff, so the Sheriff knew it was robin and he hunted him. Robin ran and ran,
but the Sheriff ran and ran, too. So Robin took his bow and arrow and gave his
friends a signal that he needed help. They came with their bows and arrows, too,
because they were also good shooters. They escaped with Maid Marian and the next
day Robin and Marian married in the forest. They ate fresh fruit and were very happy
that the Sheriff and Prince John were still angry.
The Present Thomas Meyer, 6a
One day Maid Marian came to Robin Hood. She said: “Robin, the Sheriff of
Nottingham wants to cut down your forest.” Robin said: “Tomorrow we will rob the
Sheriff’s money.”
The next day a carriage drove through the forest. Suddenly a man jumped off the
carriage. It was Robin Hood, the outlaw. There was a reward of 30 000 pounds for
those who caught him. Robin stopped the carriage. Friar Tuck and Little John,
Robin’s men, robbed all the money in the carriage. The money was from the Sheriff
of Nottingham. He was Robin’s enemy. Robin was a hero for all the villagers,
because he took the money from the rich and gave it to the poor villagers.
Then Robin and his men ran away. When the Sheriff got to know this, he was angry
with Robin. He and his fighters went to the forest to take Robin Hood prisoner.
Nobody found Robin and his men. Suddenly hundreds of arrow flew through the sky.
The Sheriff and his men ran away into the castle.
On the next day Robin Hood went to the castle with a big “present” for the Sheriff of
Nottingham. In the “present” there was Friar Tuck with two firestones. Robin gave the
present to the Sheriff. He was happy and Robin escaped.
At night Friar Tuck burned down the castle with the firestones and only the fastest
could run away. The Sheriff paid with his life for his bad actions.
The Fight with the Sheriff Marcel Rafalski, 6a
One morning Maid Marian and Robin Hood woke up and they were very hungry. So
they went to Sherwood Forest, because they wanted to shoot a deer. Robin saw a
deer and he wanted to shoot it, when he suddenly heard a crack. The Sheriff of
Nottingham stood next to the deer and said: “Don’t kill my deer or you must pay with
your life!” Robin didn’t give up and wanted to fight about for the deer. So Marian
threw her staff to Robin and said: “Good luck, Robin!”
“Thank you, but I don’t need it.” answered Robin.
The Sheriff then wanted to hit Robin Hood, but he could ward off all his strikes. Robin
hit him again and again on his head and across his back until the Sheriff said: “I give
up, you can have all the forest deer.”
Marian quickly came to Robin and said “It was a good fight and you won. Let’s have a
deer for breakfast with Little John and Friar Tuck.”
The Fight with the Sheriff Robin Rexeisen, 6a
One good day Robin and his men practised bow shooting. Robin showed his new
men how people shoot. “Let’s have a tournament, the winner gets Robin’s arrow!”
said Little John. But suddenly the Sheriff of Nottingham came and said: “I want my
girl, Maid Marian!” Then the Sheriff’s men came.
Maid Marian said: “What do you want from me? I am married to Robin Hood.”
“What you married this man? He isn’t rich, marry me!” “No!”
So Robin and his men fought against the Sheriff and his men. Suddenly Robin said:
“Why are our men fighting against each other? Let us fight, Sheriff and the winner will
stay with Marian.” “Back with you!” said the Sheriff to his men and he fought alone
against Robin Hood. In the fight they came to a bridge and the Sheriff fell into the
water. Robin said: “Now I won!” But the Sheriff called his men and they fought
against Robin. It did not look so good, but then Robin’s men helped him. They won.
“Marian is my wife,” Robin told the Sheriff of Nottingham, “Leave us alone.”
“We will come again!” said the Sheriff.
When they left, Little John showed Robin a bag. “What is that?” asked Robin. “It is a
lot of money, which the Sheriff forgot. Let’s give it to the poor people of Nottingham!”
And this was what they did.
A Fight in the Forest Maren Stöber, 6a
It was a nice summer day. Robin Hood and Maid Marian went to the lake near the
forest. They swam there. Then they sat down under a tree and ate some fruit. Maid
Marian asked Robin: “Do you have your bow and arrow?” Robin answered: “Yes, I
have. We can fight for fun.”
But suddenly an arrow flew to Robin, so he stood up and the arrow flew into the tree.
They were surprised. Behind the mountain they saw a man with a bow. It was the
Sheriff of Nottingham. He wanted to get rid of Robin Hood. Robin and Marian ran up
the mountain, but the Sheriff ran away. He stumbled and almost fell down the cliffs.
He lost his bag with the gold. The Sheriff screamed: “Help me, please”
Maid Marian and Robin were friendly, therefore they helped the Sheriff, but it was too
late, he fell down the cliffs. It seemed he was dead. Maid Marian took the Sheriff’s
bag and looked into it. There was a letter in it and some gold. They read the letter. It
was written by a poor family.
They went back to Nottingham. All the people were happy, because the evil Sheriff
was dead. Robin and Marian gave the gold to the poor family. The father was very ill
and couldn’t work.
But then Little John suddenly ran out of the forest and shouted: “The Sheriff lives!”
The people caught the Sheriff and punished him, because he was always without
mercy for the poor people.
Robin Hood and his Tricks Fatih Tirgil, 6a
It was a beautiful day, so Robin went to a bridge to catch some fish. Then he heard
an animal. He looked back and saw a big bear that was brown and angry. Robin ran
over the bridge, but the bear followed him. Robin cut the ropes of the bridge and the
bear fell down into the river.
Suddenly the Sheriff was standing on the other side of the bridge and said: “Wow,
very good! You won against the bear, but you will never win against me!” He was
alone and had only a sword with him. Robin and the Sheriff began to fight. The
Sheriff laughed: “Ha, ha, I’m the best, Robin.”
Then Robin had an idea. Under the bridge were still the ropes, so he jumped off the
bridge and caught one of the ropes. The Sheriff thought Robin was dead, but that
was a deadly mistake. Robin climbed up the bridge again and punched the Sheriff,
who then fell to the ground. He couldn’t move anymore.
But then the Sheriff’s men came and attacked Robin. He wasn’t nervous, because
the Sheriff’s men didn’t see Maid Marian, Friar Tuck and Little John behind them.
Robin laughed. The Sheriff’s men were angry and Little John said: ”Boo!”
The men looked behind them and didn’t know what to do, so they ran away.
The four friends then went to the fishing lake and caught a lot of fish, but Little John
and Friar Tuck ate all the fish, they were so hungry!
