Problem-free data transmission between the annual time switch, the channel extensions and the LAN module via the mains in one single phase is<br />
ensured by the Powerline GPL communication protocol, which was specifically <strong>de</strong>veloped for the application and transmits data in the narrow band.<br />

The newly <strong>de</strong>veloped talento LAN plus module establishes the<br />
connection between the annual time switch and a local network or the<br />
Internet.<br />
A program created on the PC with the talento dialog plus software can<br />
be transmitted to the LAN module without problems via a LAN network<br />
or the Internet and then via Powerline to the annual time switch. In<br />
addition to that, the LAN module also has a service function. Thus, for<br />
example, it informs the user via e-mail of possible faults like power<br />

The mo<strong>de</strong>m used has the following characteristics:<br />
• Modulation: FSK (Frequency Shift Keying)<br />
• Transmission frequency: 132.5 kHz<br />
• The Powerline interface is compliant with Cenelec C band, EN50065<br />
• Maximum distance between the annual time switch and the channel<br />
extensions and LAN module: 50 m<br />
failures, low battery status or activities such as summertime/wintertime<br />
changeover and faulty or correct program transmissions to the annual<br />
time switch. A particular advantage of data transmission via the LAN<br />
network or via internet is that all program entries and service functions<br />
can be controlled conveniently from the <strong>de</strong>sk or from a control center.<br />
This avoids long travel times, allowing the working hours to be used<br />
more efficiently.<br />
