(Note: Recommended mixing time of ten minutes should be strictly followed as excessive mixing of the product may cause incorporation of too much air in the premix which could result in the fast degradation of the added fortificant) 8. Collect the fortified peanut butter in two (2) stainless steel containers then transfer contents into a filling machine. 9. Fill desired container sizes with fortified peanut butter according to the required fill-in-weight of the container. Cover the containers with their lids and place tamper proof seals. 10. Pack containers with fortified peanut butter in corrugated cartons. 11. Store in a clean cool area. The above procedure for the preparation of fortified peanut butter calls for a weight ratio of 1 part premix to 25 parts plain peanut butter to achieve the regulatory requirements for a vitamin A fortified peanut butter.
