DAILY CLEANING AND SANITIZING PROCEDURE FOR EQUIPMENT<br />

EQUIPMENT A: Basins, Drums, Ladles<br />

Frequency: End <strong>of</strong> processing, after last shift <strong>of</strong> production<br />

Equipment: Wall unit hose, Hand brush, Pink sponge, Wash tub, Dipper<br />

Chemical: Detergent powder, chlorine solution<br />

Precautions and Preparations<br />

1. Handle the equipment carefully to avoid dropping or banging. This may cause breakage<br />

or dents to the equipment.<br />

2. Be sure to arrange the equipment carefully during cleaning.<br />

Cleaning Procedures<br />

1. Remove all solid waste using hands and put in the garbage bin.<br />

2. Pre-rinse with water from the hose to remove adhering dirt.<br />

3. Put small amount <strong>of</strong> detergent powder solution (1/4 dipper: 1 Basin), brush outside surface<br />

thoroughly and use pink sponge on the inside surface.<br />

4. Dip the equipment in the wash tubs with water to rinse. Repeat as necessary.<br />

5. Dip again in another wash tub containing 100 ppm <strong>of</strong> chlorine solution to sanitize it.<br />

6. Arrange the equipment on an upside down position on top <strong>of</strong> the table. For the polylugs, same<br />

position but on the floor using the blue polylug as base. Let it dry.<br />

Clean Up<br />

1. Return all chemicals to proper storage area.<br />
