What’s a CAGE Code?
No, it’s not a system for identifying tonight’s
Ultimate Fighting Championship combatants in the
Octagon.
Instead, it’s a five digit code that identifies
contractors doing business with the Federal
Government, NATO member nations, and other
governments.
The Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE)
code is used to support a variety of mechanized
systems throughout the U.S. government and provides
for a standardized method of identifying a given facility
at a specific location. For example, you’ll see Glenair’s
CAGE code (06324) marked on every part we make
and every page in each catalog we print. The Defense
Logistics Information Service (DLIS) assigns and
maintains the CAGE Code Master File.
