for every preposition. Though some solutions have been suggested for monolingual<br />

polysemy mapping of prepositions (like the Zeugma-test in Togeby [1993]), I have<br />

decided to treat preposition polysemy from a bilingual lexical point of view, defining<br />

“meaning” as the [Danish] translation of a preposition.<br />

The preposition sobre , for instance, is unlikely to mean ‘om’ in Danish if its head<br />

is not a cognitive verb, and its literal “physical” meaning ‘på’ is unlikely if its argument<br />

is not an entity, and this could be expressed by CG-rules like the following:<br />
