This model pulverizer is designed for use with
CAT. I 3 point hitch tractors. The pulverizers are
available in 5’, 6’, 7’, and 8’ widths. They are
available with your choice of three roller wheels.
16 1/4” notched, 16 1/2” crowfoot and the 20”
notched ductile iron wheel. Standard equipment
is a parking stand and a floating three point hitch
linkage designed to follow ground contours. Pull
type models also available.
Choice of four wheels: 20” Ductile, 16” Notched,
16” Crowfoot and 18” Smooth.

Brillion’s unique transport concept hydraulically rotates
the machine weight over the wheels for transport.
This reduces drawbar hitch weight considerably and
provides ample clearance for transporting.

Make This Simple Test...
See how pulverizing and packing
bring up moisture from below, yet
how loose surface mulch retards
evaporation.
Good soil, high germination seed and
favorable weather help determine yield per
acre. However, these factors are not enough
if the plant food in the soil is not readily
available to young plants. Brillion Pulverizers
break up clods and make nutrients accessible
to sprouting seeds. Air pockets in the soil are
eliminated so moisture from below can be
drawn up by capillary action to thirsty young
plants.
This is the same principle demonstrated
with the sugar cubes at the right. The loose
mulch that the Brillion Pulverizer leaves on
the surface also retards rapid evaporation as
shown by the powdered sugar in the test.

PPD THREE POINT HITCH PULVERIZERS
The PPD Series Pulverizer is designed for use
with CAT. 2 or 3, 3-point hitch tractors or
drill carriers that offer a three point hitch
mounting for optional equipment in front
of the drill. (For example Blue-Jet). The PPD
Series also mounts to the 6K236 Pulverizer
Caddie for the Landcommander II. This is a semimounted
close coupled carrier with castering
transport wheels that attaches to the rear of the
Landcommander. The primary benefit of the Pulverizer
Caddie is improved maneuverability and the ability to
easily back into tight locations. The PPD Pulverizers
feature 20” Ductile Iron Wheels which carry a Five Year

The pulverizer has long been one of the farmer’s
most valuable tools. When pulled behind a disc or
field cultivator the pulverizer will help create an ideal
seedbed with fewer trips across the field.
Good yields start with a properly prepared seedbed. A
firm seedbed is critical to maintain a uniform planting
depth. The seedbed should be firm with fine soil
particles at seed depth and should have a loose mulch
on the surface to retard evaporation and conserve
moisture.
AUTO TRANSPORT LOCK
The automatic transport lock secures the pulverizer when in transport
position and is automatically activated by the hydraulic system - so
you never have to leave the tractor seat until you’ve finished the field
and gone home.
Brillion Pulverizers
Some of the most valuable soil nutrients are locked in
the clods left in your field. The Brillion Pulverizer crushes
clods to release those nutrients for use by growing
plants. At the same time air pockets are eliminated
and moisture is drawn up the root zone by capillary
action. Good soil to seed contact creates more uniform
germination, pollination and maturity...and that means
increased crop yield and greater profits.

X-FOLD FEATURE
The Brillion X-Fold Series Pulverizers are the answer for
farm operators who need to cover a lot of ground...
quickly. There are 60 models and 15 sizes - from 19’
through 46’. A unique folding mechanism reduces the
transport width and height to a manageable size that
will pass through restrictive bridges or down narrow
roads. With its X-Fold configuration, Brillion is able to
reduce transport height well below low-hanging utility
wires or tree branches. The lower center of gravity
provides for safer road travel.
While a long drawbar is desirable for making shorter
turns when the pulverizer is towed behind another
implement, there are times when a shorter drawbar is
preferred. Brillion’s telescoping drawbar reduces the
length of the drawbar from 19’5” to 12’11” on the XL
and XXL.

Brillion offers a full line of pulverizer wheels. This
choice allows you to match a Brillion Pulverizer to
your specific needs. Choose the wheel that is best
suited to your soil conditions.
The ductile iron wheels are two and a half times
stronger than gray iron cast wheels used by other
manufacturers. The ductile iron wheel carries a
five year limited warranty against breakage.
The pulverizer drawbar can pivot vertically in field
position. Three thicknesses of shims are provided on
the braces on each side of the drawbar (1/8”, 1/4”
& 1/2”). These shims are used to limit soil pushing
in front of the rollers. Placement of shims must be
identical on both sides. (A) normal setting, (B) more
shims on top if center pushes soil, (C) more shims
at bottom if wings push soil. A manual control valve
is also available (optional) to hold wings at a preset
height.
