Often security signs are an effective deterrent, the primary line of defence before other<br />
forms of security equipment are engaged. By clearly showing the security measures you<br />
have taken, potential security breaches can be prevented. In the case of CCTV signs you<br />
can ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.<br />
Data Protection Act 1998<br />
The Data Protection Act 1998 Code of Practice gives guidance to<br />
operators of CCTV systems on the recommended signing to be<br />
used where surveillance equipment is installed. For the benefit of the public, the name<br />
and operator’s contact details should be included. Provision is made on the signs for<br />
the operator’s details to be entered by the customer. We are also happy to screen-print<br />
