Pipeline Identification Label Pipes clearly, easily and effectively
Manufactured from sub-surface printed clear flexible polyester
with high-bond adhesive backing, these markers are easy to fix
and have a wipe clean surface. Background colours conform to
the pipeline colour recommendations of BS 1710 1984, and have
safety symbols, where appropriate, in accordance with the Health
& Safety (Safety Signs & Signals) Regulations 1996. Available in
three size options, these markers are supplied in packs of ten of
the same type.

What is required legally?
The Health & Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations
have made it a legal requirement to mark visible pipework
that transports dangerous substances or preparations in the
workplace with warning symbols on a coloured background.
BS1710:1984 Identification of Pipelines and Services
recommends a system of identification through the use of
colour. This provides a comprehensive means of enhancing
safety in the work environment.
