Clear, effective signs promote Marine Safety
Marine environments are amongst the toughest and most hazardous environments
to work in. The use of signs and symbols is paramount to the safety of the crew and
passengers. The symbols we use are designed in accordance with SOLAS and are
extensively used aboard marine vessels and offshore rigs. All signs are manufactured
from Hilume photoluminescent material which significantly exceeds the performance
requirements of the IMO. Our large format digital printer also allows us to produce
high quality technical deck plans and evacuation plans. Photoluminescent vinyls and
an overlay film protect the signs from UV light and salt damage.
Hilume is a PSPA (Photoluminescent Safety Products Association) Class B performing
product which means it is much brighter for longer than the usual PSPA Class A
product found in safety signage and is suitable for exterior use.

Sign size coding is made up in most cases
of 2 letters. The first letter indicates the
length, the second indicates the height.
For example, if the sign size is RG, the sign
will be 600mm length x 200mm height.
