HEAT EXCHANGERS
Regenerative heat exchangers consist of a storage mass (heating elements)
which continuously absorbs and releases heat between two or
more flowing media. BALCKE-DÜRR/ROTHEMÜHLE offers two types of
regenerative heat exchangers:
The ROTHEMÜHLE-Stator System heat
exchanger is very flexible as far as the duct
arrangement is concerned. Due to the stationary
heating element casing (Stator), high
additional loads from the ductwork and/or a
high-dust SCR unit can be taken over.
The Rotor System heat exchanger (first described by Fredrik Ljungström),
with its very common rotating element design offers further advantages
regarding the sealing system.
Meanwhile BALCKE-DÜRR/ROTHEMÜHLE has supplied regenerative heat
exchangers with a diameter of 20 m and a total weight of 1,600 tons.
Intensive R&D work, continuous improvement as well as experience gained
from both heat exchanger systems make BALCKE-DÜRR/ROTHEMÜHLE a
worldwide outstanding supplier of regenerative heat exchangers.
Both ROTHEMÜHLE-Stator System and Rotor System regenerative heat
exchangers feature rigid design, high reliability and excellent performance,
which ensures an uninterrupted, economical operation. Long-time experience
puts BALCKE-DÜRR/ROTHEMÜHLE also in the position to retrofit all
heat exchangers with components according to the latest BALCKE-
