We are proud to introduce our latest development: a completely new X-<strong>Yachts</strong> line,<br />
which will set new cruising standards for connoisseurs and dedicated sailing enthusiasts.<br />
The Xc 45 expresses our striving for perfection within our yachting range to create a<br />
long-distance cruising experience beyond all expectations. It also represents <strong>the</strong> first generation<br />
in a future family of innovative cruisers, utilising <strong>the</strong> best and transferable features and elements<br />
from our racing and performance yachts.<br />

Through <strong>the</strong> entire design process, our ambition has been to create <strong>the</strong> optimum conditions<br />
for long-distance cruising, with a clear working philosophy: <strong>the</strong> importance of reaching each<br />

One of <strong>the</strong> main differences between <strong>the</strong><br />
Xperformance line and <strong>the</strong> new Xcruising line is<br />

The Xc 45 is designed and developed for long-distance cruising, incorporating<br />
<strong>the</strong> most significant X-<strong>Yachts</strong> qualities: powerful main engine in a well-insulated<br />
compartment, with a 3-bladed folding propeller; large fuel and fresh water tankage,<br />
all strategically located low and central in <strong>the</strong> yacht for optimum weight distribution;<br />
an immensely strong steel hull girder frame, taking <strong>the</strong> loads from <strong>the</strong> composite<br />
lead/cast iron keel as well as from <strong>the</strong> keel stepped mast.<br />

This is where we have hidden some of <strong>the</strong> best Xc features. The positively raked transom makes<br />
it different from most o<strong>the</strong>r cruising or racing yachts, and gives <strong>the</strong> Xc yachts a classic look.<br />
Utilizing this classic style allows a spacious aft deck by connecting <strong>the</strong> side decks. This is very<br />
practical for cruising and it ensures safety in heavy seas.<br />
To access <strong>the</strong> swimming platform, <strong>the</strong> transom is hinged down into a horizontal position, whilst<br />
<strong>the</strong> aft deck is lowered to create a walkway. A combination of electronically operated actuators,<br />
struts and springs makes <strong>the</strong> transformation between closed and open cockpit an effortless task.<br />
Also integrated into <strong>the</strong> platform is a bathing ladder and a shower unit.<br />
The compartment for <strong>the</strong> liferaft is hidden in <strong>the</strong> starboard part of <strong>the</strong> transom. It can hold<br />
charter regulation six person canisters, operated by a launch mechanism under <strong>the</strong> helms seat<br />
which, when needed, can be deployed quickly and easily. Good access from aft is also available.<br />
With an optional integrated stern anchor davit, you can lower and deploy up to 50 m of warp<br />
with ease, using <strong>the</strong> remote control.

The Xc 45 sail plan has been developed with long distance cruising in mind.<br />
Safe and enjoyable ocean passage requires a very flexible sail plan, utilizing<br />

seriously ready for making sailing a memorable and positive experience.<br />

The prominent feature of <strong>the</strong> deck is a clean, uncluttered layout with<br />
flush mounted, openable deck hatches and stainless steel dorades for<br />
optimum ventilation. The sail cabin on <strong>the</strong> foredeck accommodates<br />
space for <strong>the</strong> asymmetric spinnaker, fenders and <strong>the</strong> optional bow<br />
ladder, and provides good access to <strong>the</strong> anchor locker, which easily<br />
holds <strong>the</strong> standard 50 meters of chain.<br />

Easy handling<br />
All sail handling is executed from <strong>the</strong> cockpit. Halyards, reefing and control lines are led to <strong>the</strong><br />
winches on <strong>the</strong> coach roof; <strong>the</strong> mainsail sheet is led to dedicated winches at <strong>the</strong> helm. Both <strong>the</strong><br />
standard furling forestay and <strong>the</strong> optional selftacking jib makes <strong>the</strong> sail handling an easy job.<br />
The main sail track has been moved out of <strong>the</strong> cockpit in front of <strong>the</strong> sprayhood, providing an<br />
uncluttered cockpit with free passage throughout. The optional stainless steel davits allow for<br />
quick and easy launch of <strong>the</strong> yacht’s tender from <strong>the</strong> transom.

The helmsman’s position provides an excellent view forward both during sailing and while manoeuvering in <strong>the</strong><br />
harbour. The control instrument console ensures a good view of <strong>the</strong> navigation instruments and is also a secure<br />
handhold when moving around while sailing.<br />
The engine lever arm and control panel is mounted in a starboard cockpit recess for safe and reliable control.<br />
Every detail is designed to optimize <strong>the</strong> skipper’s control at <strong>the</strong> helm, and to help a shorthanded crew work safely.<br />
A total of four cockpit lockers, two forward and two aft of <strong>the</strong> steering wheels, provide ample storage for<br />
ropes, fenders and cruising equipment. For halyards and control lines, a dedicated locker is integrated in <strong>the</strong><br />
cockpit sole of <strong>the</strong> companionway. Washboards are spring loaded and are stowed in a cockpit floor recess,<br />
requiring minimum effort to open and close. Stainless steel pushpits are with built-in seats.

The Xc 45 comes standard with a conventional spray hood, with stainless steel framework.<br />
As an option, a windshield of curved hardened glass can be fixed to <strong>the</strong> spray hood coaming,<br />
including grab rails and a windshield spray hood.<br />
O<strong>the</strong>r options are a cockpit tent which can be zipped to both windshield and conventional<br />
spray hood, and an optional bemini, which is set on a stainless steel framework.<br />

The Xc 45 comes in a 2 or a 3-cabin interior layout. Standard is <strong>the</strong> 3-cabin version with<br />
two almost symmetrical aft cabins. Alternatively, <strong>the</strong>re is <strong>the</strong> 2-cabin version, which features<br />
a huge workstation cabin with access to <strong>the</strong> deep, enlarged starboard cockpit locker.<br />
Two main cabin layouts are offered to suit your needs: a standard version with a dedicated<br />
Nav station. Alternatively, a version with a shower compartment adjacent to, and with access<br />
from, <strong>the</strong> standard head compartment on <strong>the</strong> starboard side.<br />

stripes for panel look. As an alternative, you may prefer varnished teak bulkheads<br />
The detailed workmanship, <strong>the</strong> carefully selected teak veneers and <strong>the</strong> furniture fittings built to <strong>the</strong> highest<br />
standards, all mirror <strong>the</strong> ambitions and attitude of X-<strong>Yachts</strong>.<br />
Eight openable cabin trunk portlights and two openable deck hatches as well as <strong>the</strong> sliding hatch opening,<br />
offer excellent and natural ventilation and daylight.<br />

The Xc 45 offers two alternative main cabin layouts: a standard version with a dedicated Nav station, with<br />
ample space for navigational and communication equipment. In front of this Nav station is a 190 cm sofa,<br />
where one of <strong>the</strong> back rest cushions can be hinged down to form a small “drinks table”.<br />
Alternatively, we offer a version with a shower compartment adjacent to, and with access from, <strong>the</strong> standard<br />
head compartment on <strong>the</strong> starboard side. This version features two comfortable armchair seats, separated<br />
by a fixed Nav table, and has ample space for navigational and communication equipment by <strong>the</strong> aft seat.<br />
The flush hatches are all fitted with recessed Oceanair blinds, with roller “blackout” and mosquito blinds;<br />
and all main cabin trunk port lights are equipped with curtains from Oceanair.<br />

The front cabin is very spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space, drawers, freeboard cabinets and shelves.<br />
The standard spring mattresses are supported by flexible<br />
laminated battens for optimum comfort and ventilation. Plenty of openable deck hatches, and <strong>the</strong> cabin<br />
trunk port light, give maximum ventilation and light.<br />
The owner’s head is located to port and contains a separate shower unit, with room for a washing machine.<br />

The Xc 45 comes standard in <strong>the</strong> 3-cabin version. This has two<br />
almost symmetrical aft cabins; both with ample wardrobe and<br />
locker space; and both with maximum ventilation from three<br />
openable port lights/deck hatches.<br />
The alternative 2-cabin version features a huge workstation cabin<br />
on <strong>the</strong> starboard aft side. A workbench, with cabinets and drawers<br />
for tools and spare parts, provides an ideal solution for <strong>the</strong> sailors,<br />
who want to go on a long-distance exploration/voyage. The deep<br />
and spacious starboard cockpit seat locker is also accessible from<br />
<strong>the</strong> workstation, as is <strong>the</strong> engine room, where <strong>the</strong> optional<br />
generator and plenty of <strong>the</strong> yacht’s additional technical<br />
equipment is found.<br />

The Xc 45 is designed using <strong>the</strong> latest and most advanced 3D design programmes,<br />
allowing X-<strong>Yachts</strong> engineers and technicians to deliver <strong>the</strong> optimum solutions.<br />
The engine compartment 1 , which also holds <strong>the</strong> hot water tank, is well insulated<br />
and ventilated. The 24V electrical system ensures efficient cabling and reduced<br />
transmission losses. All cabling terminates in a “dry” GRP box fitted behind <strong>the</strong><br />
main electrical panel in <strong>the</strong> saloon for added safety. Piping for all <strong>the</strong> water systems<br />
on board run in dedicated service trays and channels.<br />
The optional heating system 2 is mounted aft, near <strong>the</strong> transom and dedicated<br />
piping 3 runs throughout <strong>the</strong> entire yacht. When sailing under warmer skies <strong>the</strong><br />
optional air con system offers a comforting extra.<br />
The steering system has two independent quadrants 4 for added safety.<br />
An autopilot 5 has a direct link to <strong>the</strong> rudder stock.
