The dither amplitude and the dither frequency are adjustable. With the dither setting the valve hysteresis can be reduced clearly. The dates for the dither setting can often be taken from the valve dates. The dither amplitude should be as high as possible, but the drive should not vibrate. Caution: Too high dither amplitude can lead to an increased attrition (the friction in the valve reduces a short start phase). Caution: If the PWM frequency is lower than 500 Hz, the dither amplitude should be set to zero. In this case the low PWM frequency is used to reduce the valve hysteresis 2 The current loop compensator is improved in software version 14. The amplitude has to be reduced again older versions.
