- Check the Search for the best driver in these locations radio button.<br />

- Check the checkbox Include this location in the search:<br />

- Click Browse.<br />

- Browse to the directory where the driver is stored. Wh<strong>en</strong> downloading from the Internet, this is:<br />

"C:\Wabco\download\wdi_<strong>usb</strong>_driver_240" (as shown in the figure) or, if the Diagnostic Software was obtained<br />

on a flash drive, the main directory of this drive (the drive letter of the flash drive) - "E:" for example.<br />

- Click on Next.<br />

The Software will now be installed.<br />

- Click Finish to complete the <strong>installation</strong> process.<br />

The <strong>installation</strong> is now complete and the Diagnostic Interface is available to the diagnostic programs.<br />

A computer restart is not required.<br />

Differ<strong>en</strong>t Diagnostic Interface / other USB port<br />

Installation Instructions<br />

Wh<strong>en</strong> a differ<strong>en</strong>t USB port is used for the first time, or a Diagnostic Interface with a differ<strong>en</strong>t serial number is<br />

connected to a PC, Windows will want to install a driver for this device as well.<br />

The driver has already be<strong>en</strong> installed in this case and you only need to tell the operating system that it should<br />

use this driver.<br />

- Check the first radio button Install the software automatically (Recomm<strong>en</strong>ded).<br />

- Click Next. This followed by an automatic routine.<br />

- Click Finish.<br />

Troubleshooting<br />

Installation Instructions<br />

- Check whether a correct USB connection has be<strong>en</strong> established betwe<strong>en</strong> the Diagnostic Interface and the<br />

PC, as well as the vehicle.<br />

- Switch on the ignition of the vehicle to be diagnosed.<br />

Advanced:<br />

In the ev<strong>en</strong>t that the USB interface is repres<strong>en</strong>ted differ<strong>en</strong>tly in the Windows Control Panel, e.g. an exclamation<br />

mark (!) is displayed next to the device, or it is listed as an Unknown Device, reinstall it:<br />

- Right-click on the <strong>en</strong>try Diagnostic Interface.<br />

- Click Uninstall.<br />

- Exit the Control Panel after the device has be<strong>en</strong> uninstalled.<br />

- Attempt to op<strong>en</strong> the New Hardware Wizard by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB connector to the<br />

interface.<br />

- Repeat the <strong>installation</strong> (see page 1). First <strong>en</strong>sure that the ignition is switched on and that the interface is<br />

supplied with power.<br />

Diagnostic Interface is not recognised by Windows<br />

- Click Start.<br />

- Right-click My Computer.<br />

- Select Manage.<br />

- Click Device Manager.<br />

- Double-click Other devices to display the new hardware.<br />

- Right-click Diagnostic Interface.<br />

- Select Update Driver.<br />

- Continue as described on page 1.<br />
