Fig. 4 shows how the operating stability<br />

and production output of a modern highspeed<br />

newsprint machine were improved<br />

after replacing a faulty pressure transducer.<br />

After eliminating the source of trouble,<br />

breaks decreased dramatically. And in<br />

parallel to these savings in down-time,<br />

the 1,600 m/min speed limit was perma-<br />
