Digipass Plug-In for SBR Administrator Reference How to troubleshoot 15 How to troubleshoot 15.1 View Audit Information The SBR Plug-In can be configured to output audit messages to a number of locations: Windows Event Log Text file ODBC database If you are unsure how and where the SBR Plug-In is recording audit messages, open the SBR Plug-In Configuration GUI and click on the Auditing tab. 15.1.1 Windows Event Log Filter for audit messages from the SBR Plug-In by: 1. Click on View -> Filter... 2. Select Digipass Plug-In for SBR from the Event Source drop down list. 3. Click on OK. 15.1.2 Text file To view audit messages written to a text file by the SBR Plug-In, either open the text file direct, or use the Audit Viewer. See 12.1 Text File for information on configuring the SBR Plug-In to write audit messages to a text file and viewing audit text files in the Audit Viewer. 15.1.3 ODBC Database To view audit messages written to an ODBC database by the SBR Plug-In, open the Audit Viewer. Digipass Plug-In for SBR Administrator Reference How to troubleshoot 15.2 Tracing 15.2.1 SBR Plug-In If you are having problems starting the SBR Plug-In or logging in via the SBR Plug-In, enabling tracing may allow you to track down the cause. 1. Open the SBR Plug-In Configuration. 2. Select either Basic Tracing or Full Tracing (see the Auditing and Tracing section of the Product Guide for more information). 3. Enter a path and filename to which tracing information should be written, or use the default. 4. Click on OK. 5. Attempt a login. 6. Check the trace file for information on the start-up conditions of the SBR Plug-In and of the login attempt. 15.2.2 Web Sites Enabling tracing for the User Self Management Web Site or the OTP Request Site may allow you to find the cause of problems experienced. It is important that the Web Site not only have tracing enabled, but that it has sufficient permissions to access and write to the designated trace file. 15.2.2.1 Enable Tracing 1. Open the Configuration GUI for the Web Site. 2. Select either Basic Tracing or Full Tracing (see the Auditing and Tracing section of the Product Guide for more information). 3. Enter a path and filename to which tracing information should be written. 4. Click on OK. 15.2.2.2 Trace File Permissions Permissions need to be set to allow the Web Sites to access and write to the trace file. By default, the trace file is stored in \log. Follow these steps for the folder the trace file will be written to. 1. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the directory that the trace file will be written to (\log by default). 2.
