ODBC Data Sources When a program is connected to an ODBC server, errors can be detected by UniData BCI, by the ODBC driver, or by the data source. When the error is returned, the source of the error is indicated by bracketed items in the error output variable, as shown in the following examples. SQLError Input Variables
Parameter Description sqlstate SQLSTATE code. This code describes the UniData BCI Client error associated with the environment passed. sqlstate is always a fivecharacter string. dbms.code Error code specific to the data source. dbms.code contains an integer error code from the data source. If dbms.code is 0, the error was detected by UniData BCI. For the meanings of specific error codes, see the documentation provided for the data source. error Text describing the error in more detail.
