ODBC Data Sources<br />

When a program is connected to an ODBC server, errors can be detected by UniData<br />

BCI, by the ODBC driver, or by the data source. When the error is returned, the<br />

source of the error is indicated by bracketed items in the error output variable, as<br />

shown in the following examples.<br />

Errors detected by Unidata BCI:<br />

1-808 <strong>UniBasic</strong> <strong>Commands</strong> <strong>Reference</strong><br />

[IBM][SQL Client] An illegal configuration option was found<br />

Errors detected by the ODBC driver:<br />

SQLConnect error: Status = -1 SQLState = S1000 Natcode =<br />

Errors detected by the data source:<br />

permissions.<br />

The following table describes each parameter of the syntax.<br />

Parameter Description<br />

bci.env UniData BCI environment or the constant SQL.NULL.HENV.<br />

connect.env Connection environment or the constant SQL.NULL.HDBC.<br />

statement.env SQL statement environment or the constant SQL.NULL.HSTMT.<br />
