ACTIVATEKEY Syntax ACTIVATEKEY , [ON ] [ON ERROR ] Description Use the ACTIVATEKEY command to activate a key or wallet. It is necessary to activate a key if you want to supply a password for key protection. Note: You can activate only keys with password protection with this command. Keys that do not have password protection are automatically activated. Parameters 1-78 UniBasic Commands Reference The following table describes each parameter of the syntax. Parameter Description key.id The key ID or wallet ID to activate. If you provide a Wallet ID, UniData activates all keys in the wallet. ACTIVATEKEY Parameters
Parameter Description password The password corresponding to key.id. ON NFA_SERVER The name of the NFA_SERVER on which you want to activate the encryption key. The syntax for NFA_SERVER can be either: STATUS Codes @domain.var where domain.var specifies the ID for a VOC entry that contains the NFA server connection parameters. OR “MACHINE PORT [, UDTHOME ]” NFA files are always encrypted and decrypted on the remote machine by the NFA server. ON ERROR statements If you specify ON ERROR statements and an error occurs, UniData executes the statements following the ON ERROR clause. Otherwise, UniData executes the next statement. The ACTIVATEKEY statement rerurns the following STATUS codes regarding wallet operations: STATUS Code Description 0 Operation successful ACTIVATEKEY Parameters (continued) 1 Key is already activated or deactivated. This applies to a single key, not a wallet operation 2 Operation failed. Description<br />
