$BASICTYPE Syntax $BASICTYPE "param" Description The UniBasic $BASICTYPE command compiles data in a specified BASICTYPE. The $BASICTYPE statement must be the first noncomment statement in the program or subroutine. You can include only one $BASICTYPE statement per file (main program or subroutine), but you can split a program into separately cataloged subroutines for the purpose of changing BASICTYPE. If you do not specify $BASICTYPE, UniData compiles the program in the BASICTYPE specified in the ECL BASICTYPE command. The default type is U. Note: The BASICTYPE param must be in quotation marks.
