10.10 The contractor shall arrange to provide <strong>and</strong> maintain an adequate equipment field laboratory as per<br />
Clause 121.<br />
10.11 Quality Control <strong>of</strong> works shall be governed by Section 900 <strong>of</strong> MoRT&H Specifications.<br />
10.12 The various activities <strong>of</strong> works shall also be documented by phtographs <strong>and</strong> vedio cassettes as per<br />
Clauses 125 & 126 <strong>of</strong> MoRT&H Specifications.<br />
10.13 The classification <strong>of</strong> soil shall be as per Clause 301.2 <strong>of</strong> MoRT&H Specifications.<br />
10.14 The earth excavated from foundations has been considered to be backfilled <strong>and</strong> balance utilised<br />
locally <strong>for</strong> road work except in the case <strong>of</strong> marshy soil.<br />
10.15 The rate <strong>for</strong> removal <strong>of</strong> unsuitable soil does not provide <strong>for</strong> replacement by suitable soil which will<br />
have to be paid separately.<br />
10.16 Items <strong>for</strong> hilly terrain have been analysed separately.<br />
10.17 The hire charge rates <strong>for</strong> machinery <strong>and</strong> equipment are taken from the St<strong>and</strong>ard Data Book <strong>and</strong><br />
prevailing market rate.<br />
10.18 10 per cent extra cement has been provided <strong>for</strong> concreting under water, where required.<br />
10.19 Grade <strong>of</strong> cement may be adopted as per mix design.<br />
10.20 Quantities <strong>of</strong> cement in various grades <strong>of</strong> cement concrete have been taken as per IRC:21-2000<br />
<strong>and</strong> IRC:18-2000.<br />
10.21 The coarse <strong>and</strong> fine aggregates shall con<strong>for</strong>m to IS:383.<br />
10.22 For pricing <strong>of</strong> RCC slab culverts, the items given in respective chapters in bridge section may be<br />
reffered.<br />
10.23 Some <strong>of</strong> major steel producing firms have evolved thermo-mechanically treated steel which has<br />
enhanced strength, better corrosion resistance, ductility, weld ability <strong>and</strong> high temparature thermal<br />
resistance. Enquiries from these are made on technical specifications <strong>and</strong> use <strong>of</strong> such products<br />
considered in works based on per<strong>for</strong>mance in works where these have already been used.<br />
10.24 In case it is decided to include the following items <strong>and</strong> their maintenance in the BOQ, the scope <strong>and</strong><br />
specifications should be worked out <strong>and</strong> defined in a detailed manner in the tender document to<br />
avoid any dispute during execution.<br />
