there ever since.I'm hoping to go still further to find a link one day with other U2s from French
origins or other European countries! It seems a difficult task though, since U2s are not very
common and it's a very old haplogroup!

Comments: Mother's mother was Elsie Canny, her mother was Anna Schnell, her mother was
Lovelia Kumre and last known maternal link was Susannah Miller born around 1826 and died in
Illinois. Ethic origin unknown. All these women, including me, have dark brown hair and some
have dark olive skin tone. Also 3 generations back to back died of breast cancer. Did not pass on to
my grandmother she lived to be 87 years old. We have also heard that rumor that we might have
Indian ancestry through this line. I would be willing to communicate with other Haplogroup K's.

Comments: Oldest known direct line Maternal ancestor: my mother's mother. Pauline Fox
(maiden name) Born: about 1898 in Madison, Indiana, USA (directly on the Ohio River across
from Kentucky) Died: November 1972 in Columbus, Indiana, USA I had been told that my
heritage on my mother's side was German-Catholic, therefore, I was a bit surprised that my
Haplogroup is most strongly connected with Ashkenazie Jew and I'm eager to unravel the history
of my DNA ancestry. I'm delighted to count Oetzi the Iceman as a relative; I will have a greater
sense of connection when I see references to him in the media.
