Comments: Oldest known ancestor is my great great grand mother Virginie Guichard born in
France around 1865 near the town of Airvault (Deux-Sèvres, Poitou Charentes.) I was surprised
by this haplogroup as I thought it would be likely to be H,that is most common in Western
Europe, K being more present for Eastern Europe and as far as I know we are very french and
Catholic... If we are connected in anyway to the Jewish population I'd like to find out :) I've tested
my dad as well and he belongs to haplogroup R1b, proud descent of the Cro-magnons apparently.
There too we don't know much as we don't know exactly who is father was. The legend says he
was a farmer in the South part of les Deux-Sèvres and definitely french too. R1b beig very
common in Ireland, I must admit the history of my county shows a strong link to the UK, and my
dad has blue eyes and frakles (very Irish indeed..) My dad's results below: DYS19/394 = 14
DYS385a= 11 DYS385b= 14 DYS388= 12 DYS389i =13 DYS389ii= 30 DYS390= 24 DYS391 = 10
DYS392 = 13 DYS393/395= 13 DYS426= 12 DYS437/457= 15 DYS438 = 12 DYS439/GATA A4= 12
DYS447= 25 DYS448= 19 DYS460/GATA A7 1= 10 GATA H4 = 12 YCA IIa= 19 YCA IIb= 23
Any comments welcome.
