Comments: My grandmother's maiden name was Moomaw (Mumma), her mother was a Stover,
and her mother was a Snyder/Snider, and HER mother was an Eckels, Ekel, Eccle/Eccles, etc., and
her mother was Elizabeth Miller/Muller. Elizabeth Miller/Muller is the earliest of my maternal
line ancestors that I'm pretty certain about. She was b 24 January 1735-37, probably near
Philadelphia, PA. She appears to have been the daughter of Elizabeth Frey (b1719 in Philadelphia
Co., PA), the daughter of Ann Catherine Levering (born 1675/76 in Mulheim on the Rheur, now
Germany), the daughter of Magdalena Boekers (b ca 1650 Leiden, Holland), the daughter of
Sidonia Wilhelmina Braviers (b1631 Leiden, Holland.) The male Leverings apparently came to
Holland from England (for religious reasons?) and I am wondering if the same could be said about
the Boekers/Bokers/Bakers? and/or the Braviers? My Haplogroup was reported as "unknown"
and that surprised me. The HRV1 mutation 16357C seems to be rather rare (though the daughters
of the Russian Czar had it, which is interesting to me since some Russian friends of mine who saw
my mother's picture said she had a "Russian" face.)
