Welcome to our 20th Spring Bull Sale. What an exciting time to be in the cattle business! It would<br />
be very possible that productive life of these bulls and females will be the most profitable period that we will<br />
experience in our lifetimes. The nations cowherd is the smallest that it has been in a half century and that<br />
won’t change anytime soon. As soon as moisture conditions become more normal and feed prices moderate<br />
there will be more potential for profit than any of us have ever known.<br />
As we get older we often reflect back on experiences from our younger days. I am reminded of an<br />
area full time famer and part time philosopher named Frank Baker who told me, when I was much younger,<br />
that it takes quite a while to get dry but it can get wet overnight.<br />
We are very excited about the bulls being offered. Once again we have developed them as much<br />
as possible on standing forage. If you come expecting to see soft, fat bulls that are pushed for maximum<br />
yearling weights, you will be disappointed. These bulls will be a little harder in appearance but will be good<br />
footed and ready to breed cows without falling apart. In the past year we have sent bulls from Montana to<br />
extreme south Louisiana and all parts in between. We are totally convinced that if bulls are developed properly<br />
they can adapt to their surroundings fine in most cases.<br />
The commercial female offering continues to grow each year. We have a nice selection of open heifers,<br />
bred heifers and young pairs that would please the most discriminating buyer. We will run the female<br />
portion of the sale like last year in that there will be no females on site, they will be sold off of the video. If<br />
you can come look before the sale that would be great, if not, we guarantee that you will be happy or you<br />
don’t own them.<br />

course we can handle phone orders or purchase on your behalf. Remember, we guarantee you will be satisfied<br />
