just above it. The whole skull seems foreshortened. The teeth are wide<br />
and short from front to back. The upper premolars are characterized<br />
by the anterior portion's being abbreviated and having several small<br />
striae running forward from the primary cusp, giving this anterior end a<br />
striated appearance. The posterior crescent is well developed but does<br />
not unite with the median crest. Premolar 4 has a small pit in the<br />
anterior external corner. The lower premolars are those tvpical <strong>of</strong> the<br />
genus.
