They reserve the right to expel from the site anyone they consider to have contravened this condition. Rules 1 Entries will be accepted only from members of the British Cactus and Succulent Society. 2 There is no limit to the number of entries per class, the entries being free. Entries must be made on the official form and sent to: Mr J M Stansbie, 76 Bransford Avenue, Coventry, CV4 7EB. Entries must reach Mr Stansbie not later than 9 August 2012. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE. 3 In classes 132, 133 and 134, entries will only be accepted from Junior members of the Society. 4 The Judges are permitted to exhibit in classes other than those they are judging, at the discretion of the National Show Committee. 5 The Judges may, at their discretion, withhold any award in any class where they consider the standard of the exhibits to be too low. 6 Judging will be in accordance with the Rules and Recommendations as laid down in the BCSS Handbook of Shows 9th Edition. 7 The classification of plants shall, for the purposes of this show, be that given in the Handbook. 8 Subject to rule 5 minimum prize-monies in classes 1–134 will be as follows: 1st Prize £7 2nd Prize £5 3rd Prize £3 9 Gold Medals and National Diplomas will be awarded by a panel of Judges. All Awards and Society Trophies, where appropriate (see page 14), will be awarded on the basis of points allocated as follows: 1st 5 points 2nd 4 points 3rd 3 points Highly Commended 2 points Commended 1 point 10 Any objection to the judging must be submitted in writing to the Show Secretary, accompanied by a fee of £10, before 1.30 pm on 18 August 2012. The fee will be returned if your objection is upheld. 11 All entries must be staged by 10.15 am on 18 August 2012. The placing of entries on the benches will be under the directions of the stewards appointed by the National Show Committee. By 10.30 am on the day of the show all exhibitors must leave the show hall. During judging only persons authorised by the National Show Committee will be present. 12 Plants must be the property of the exhibitor. 13 Exhibits may not be removed from the show bench on the day of the show until authorised by the Show Manager. This will not be before 4.30 pm and may be later but the hall must be cleared by 5.30 pm. 14 The National Show Committee accepts no responsibility for the safety of plants or other personal property. All reasonable precautions against theft and damage will be taken, but all exhibits will be staged at their owner’s risk. 15 Entry in the Show constitutes acceptance of the rules.
