Awards and Trophies
A BCSS National Diploma and a Gold Medal will be awarded to the Best Cactus and to the
Best Succulent in the show.
BCSS Gold Medals will be awarded to other plants of outstanding quality.
A Keith Grantham Silver Medal will be awarded to the exhibitor gaining the most points in
Classes 1 to 58 and to the exhibitor gaining most points in Classes 59 to 128.
The following perpetual challenge trophies will be awarded.
White Rose Trophy Most points in classes 9 & 10
The Inglewood Cup Most points in classes 25 & 26
J H V Hampshire Memorial Cup Most points in classes 35 & 36
Brooke Teapot Most points in classes 53 & 54
21st Anniversary Cup Winner of class 58
The Chairman’s Cup Most points in classes 62 & 63
Albert Baynes Challenge Cup Most points in classes 64 & 65
The President’s Cup Most points in classes 87 to 101
The Herman Jacobsen Memorial Trophy Most points in classes 109 to 112
The Chris Pitcher Trophy Most points in classes 115 & 116
The 1968 Trophy Winner of class 128
Marion Evans Trophy (Junior Classes) Most points in classes 132 to 134
In addition, the following awards will be made:
BCSS Silver Medals for most points in the following groups of classes:
21 to 24, 27 to 33, 48 to 50, 73 to 79, 102 to 108.
BCSS Bronze Medals for most points in the following groups of classes:
1 to 4, 15 to 18, 39 to 41, 59 to 61, 66 to 68 and winners of classes 129 and 130.
Awards of Merit will be made to special plants or exhibits at the discretion of the panel of judges.
Memorial Awards
Additional prizes dedicated to the memory of past members will be presented for certain classes.
