catechesis for children and their families. For registration or information please contact Rose Deffenbaugh at 992-0901
students. Also needed immediately are leaders and assistant (particularly men) for the Youth Group to help in the
classroom and also to chaperone field trips, activities, retreats and fundraisers. Volunteers with diverse skills are always
March 6- Perpetua and Felicitas, two early Christian Women Martyrs. These women were martyred in AD 20 3 in Carthage, North Africa. We
know about them because Perpetua left a moving diary which records her intimate thoughts and feelings as she faced her death for the sake of
Jesus. Come meet women who will change your life. (Feast Day: March 7)
March 13- The Beatitudes. The teaching of Jesus that appears in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. These ethical teachings
are presented as 8 blessings in Matthew’s Sermon on the Mount. On the other hand, Luke’s Sermon on the Plain presents them
as four blessings, followed by four woes that mirror the blessings. In either case, these teachings represent the very pinnacle
of Jesus’ vision of the Kingdom. How can we draw from their wisdom and apply their ethic to our lives as Christians?
The classes are offered in the Education Building, Room 13-14 at 9am on Wednesdays.
