D uring the past week training sessions for Liturgical Ministers were held. Many thanks to all who took the time to attend and participate, while learning and sharing your ideas and concerns. We are grateful for all that you do to enhance our liturgy as Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers at the Mass, Ushers, Lectors, Greeters, Sacristans and Acolytes. The LIGHT is ON for YOU All Catholics are encouraged to partake in Reconciliation, a beautiful Sacrament of the Lord, especially during this season of repentance. Throughout the Diocese during Lent, churches will be celebrating the Sacrament at the same times, on Fridays from 5-7PM and on Saturdays from 9-11AM. Regularly scheduled Saturday afternoon confessions will not be heard. WELCOMING RETURNING AND INACTIVE CATHOLICS If you are a Catholic who has been away from the Church, know that we are thinking about you. We invite you to be an active part of us again. LANDINGS is a program that offers a "safe place to land," a place for listening and for being heard, a place for asking questions and for reconnecting with the faith as an adult. A small group of active Catholics, some of them "returnees" themselves, meets with a small group of inactive or returning Catholics to share and explore their faith together on Tuesday evenings, 7-8:15 p.m., in the Parish Life Center. The representatives of the Little Bethlehem Christians would like to express their gratitude to all the parishioners who purchased their beautiful olive wood carvings. They were able to raise over $18,000 to help support the more than 250 families of carvers who struggle to live as Christians in the Holy Land. 40 Days for Life Naples Spring Campaign L ooking for a Lenten sacrifice? Be a witness to moms and dads who think they have no choice but abortion. Take an hour to join other St. Leo parishioners in prayer for an end to abortion during Lent on Wednesday, March 20 th outside Planned Parenthood in Naples between 9am and 5pm. Commitment cards will be available in the pew holders. Simply take one, fill it out and drop it at the office or in the collection basket. U|uÄx fàâwç It's not too late to participate in the "Great Adventure Bible Timeline" series presented by Jeff Cavins, via DVD. The program is held in the Teleconferencing Center, located in the Parish Life Education Center, rooms 13-14. Sessions run from 9:00-10:30am each Thursday morning. There is no charge for this outstanding program that takes us for a journey from Adam & Eve through the New Testament. Each program stands on its own, so don't be concerned about missing the previous sessions. You will enjoy this exciting bible study with Jeff and your fellow parishioners as we progress through this 24 week program. Come, join in and be blessed with the rest of us. We are still looking forward to the installation of the walkways, benches, landscaping and inscription plaques on each Station. The paver bricks are scheduled to be laid around Easter time. There are still opportunities for you to memorialize special events or loved ones. In addition to the engraved paver bricks priced at $100, there are still several larger paver pads, priced at $300, to be located in front of the individual stations. Polished granite benches are now available as memorials. The back of the benches may contain up to 2 lines of engraving. The benches will be placed near each Outdoor Station. The picture depicts the style, the inset swatch will be our color. The donation for a bench with engraving is $3000. Contact construction co-coordinators: Joe Stegle at (239) 390-1353 or Tom Valus at 405-7801. We are hosng the Harry Chapin Mobile Food Pantry at St. Leo’s on Wednesday, March 6th.
