2. An effort has to be made to dovetail Onsite plan to Off-Site plan.<br />

Section X: Plan Dissemination<br />

3. Such plan should be available in the designated Emergency Control Centre of the factory,<br />

Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Fire Brigade, Police, District/Corporation<br />

Officials and Collector and should be updated periodically.<br />

4. Training sessions and mock drills in First Aid, Fire Fighting, Evacuation, First<br />

Responder. Regular testing of plants processes should be conducted to appraise and train<br />

different levels of employees in emergency control.<br />

During An Emergency :<br />

1. During an emergency, assistance should be sought from the immediate neighbouring<br />

MARG Member/s enlisted zone-wise having appropriate expertise as per the guidelines<br />

and equipment, gadgets for controlling situation and Statutory Authorities<br />

simultaneously.<br />

2. All the personnel in each factory who are responders for emergency must be made aware<br />

about the availability of such MARG assistance and methods of getting it.<br />

3. Assisting organisation must be properly briefed by the unit seeking the assistance about<br />

the nature of emergency, materials involved and meteorology conditions (Wind<br />

direction), precise nature of help required to ensure proper response.<br />

4. Assistance can be requested in the form of either equipment or expertise or both with<br />

expert operating personnel.<br />

5. In case of equipment received from assisting organisation<br />

• It must be properly used<br />

• Returned promptly<br />

• In case of damage it should be repaired from approved agency and returned in<br />

working condition.<br />

• Consumables should be replaced/reimbursed.<br />

6. When a MARG member is extending help to Non-MARG member or other organisation<br />

make sure that<br />

• Appropriate equipment tested for the purpose is given.<br />

• If your personnel are attending the emergencies ensure that they are well-versed<br />

and have worked under such a situation and are able to give guidance.<br />

• The situation and the materials involved are being briefed to you correctly.<br />

• The guidance about plants, processes and materials involved is available on the<br />

spot from the organisation receiving the assistance<br />

7. It is understood that in case of any accident to any personnel while assisting, organisation<br />

that is receiving help extend its co-operation in bearing a reasonable part of expenses,<br />

beyond that covered by an insurance policy.<br />
