5.2.3.3 Fires
Section V: Mitigation Strategy
• There are 4 Municipal Councils in the district. Out of this 4 only Jalna M.C. has its own
Fire Brigade Service with two fire tenders. This is not sufficient to tackle the fires in the
whole district. So as per the requirement of district administration, at least one fire station
with fire tender at Partur M.C. is essential.
• All the Govt. and Pvt. Sectors should be equipped with fire fighting instruments.
• Every industry unit, co-operative unit, shops of the district will prepared their plan to
avoid the fire and used the special technique to prevent the fire.
• Community education programmes for fire safety should be carried out regularly.
• According to past experience, the fires due to electrical short circuits are more. So the
M.S.E.B. needs to strictly check their cables and structures. Also takes action against
illegal and unsafe connected lines in the district.
5.2.3.4 Road Accidents
• There should be adequate sign-boards, speed breakers and guard-stones on the accident
prone spots.
• The mobile traffic van of police should be prepare the plan of adequate visit through the
accident prone areas of Jalna district.
• Ambulance Service of the district is not sufficient to reach the spot and help the victims.
The ambulance must be provided to police control room.
• The training programme of Traffic Police on first aid and help to the victims should
arrange regularly.
• The Civil Hospital must be up graded to include a well-equipped trauma care centers.
• The tar roads of all M.C. in Jalna district are eroded at many places those places need
resurfacing.
