The precautions to be taken to protect equipments the post <strong>disaster</strong>s procedure to be followed<br />

Precautionary Measures And Procedures<br />

All taluka officials are aware about (through Training) precautionary measures to be taken<br />

are as under<br />

1. Transfer of messages up to farmers immediately through village workers (Agril. Assistant)<br />

2. Planning about availability/supply of inputs through concern agencies like A.D.O./Mahabeej if<br />

required.<br />

3. Quantification of inputs if required and demand of inputs towards concerned agencies (Planting<br />

material, Seed, Fertilizer etc)<br />

4. Identification of sensitive village to flood, drought etc.<br />

POST DISASTER PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED<br />

1. Immediate survey of damaged area, crops, soils<br />

2. Reporting of area, crop wise, hectarage Number of benificieries affected and contingency<br />

planning if required (Resowing)<br />

3. Estimation about reduction in yield and soil degradation<br />

4. Estimates for land improvements if required<br />

5. Spraying of 2 % Urea<br />

6. Thinning at temporarily wilting point<br />

7. Use of protective irrigation if available<br />

8. Use of sprinklers/Drip to irrigate crops<br />

9. Gap filling/replanting of fruit crops<br />

10. Resowing<br />

11. Input availability through A.D.O. and concern agencies<br />

Information Provided to all Concernd About the Disasters, Likely Damages to Crops and Plantations<br />

And Information about the Ways To Protect the Same.<br />

Information is provided to all Taluka Officers about the Disasters such as flood, Drought, cyclone,<br />

earthquake. Due to thease natural calamities if damages to crops and plantations cauaes the Steps to be<br />

taken are as Under<br />

1. Survey of afficted area, crop, plants and identifications of benifiticieres<br />

2. Quentification of material required to protect and availiblity of material and suppling agencies<br />

3. Adoption of technological measures to protect the crops, plantation and soils.<br />

4. Estimation of losses and detail estimates of activities to be taken<br />

5. Use of available resoursers<br />

THE N.G.O.s AND OTHER RELIF ORGANISATIONS ARE INFORMED ABOUT THE RESOURSES<br />

OF THE DEPARTMENTS<br />
