DISTRICT DISASTER MANAGEMENT AGRICULTURAL PLAN
Section IV: Capability Analysis
1. Preparedness Measures Taken
The department is familiar with disaster response plan and disaster response procedures are
clearly defined.
The disaster such as Flood, Drought, cyclone, earthquakes, hail fall/Snowfall etc. can cause damages to
crops, plantations, and soils. To avoid the losses in future due to above Natural calamities if Occurs the
Department has instructed to the Staff working in the field as follows
1. Every Village level Agril, Assistant should stay at headquarter and remain present in jurisdiction
Every day.
2. If any Natural calamity occurs in jurisdiction immediately contact to Supervisor.
3. Don’t switch off mobile phone or contact phone.
4. Remain in phone contact of higher officials.
5. Remain in contact with Grampanchayat, sarpanch, police patil, Talati, Gramsevak.
6. Inspect waterbodies (N.B. C.N.B.) frequently to avoid damage to crops and soil due to excess
water.
7. Contact immediately to District control room in emergency situation if occurs.

The sub divisional Agriculture Officer shri A.R. Kale (Jalna, Jafrabad, Badnapur, Bhokardan)
And Partur shri Bardale will Supervise the training programme for disaster response are arranged at
taluka level.
3. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED DURING EMERGENCY OPERATIONS IMPARTED TO
THE OFFICIALS AND THE STAFF
Officials and the staff is trained about the emergency operations and suggestions to staff given are as
under
1. Communicate the messages received and required urgently to subordinate and higher officers in
emergency
2. Contact to the control room urgently
3. Use available resources in local situations ex. First Aid Box, Taint, Bullock cart, Tractor etc.
4. In Flood situation inspect waterbodies (N.B., C.N.B) frequently and if necessary repair it
urgently with the help of local people.
5. Keep with the list of available equipments, vehicles, instruments, in village or proximity.
6. Keep the information of the people staff having swimming and driving skills and own vehicles
7. Keep first aid box with all necessary medicines, Bandages, ointments etc if required any material
demand it to P.H.C. near it.
