Section IV: Capability Analysis<br />

1. Preparedness Measures Taken<br />

The department is familiar with <strong>disaster</strong> response plan and <strong>disaster</strong> response procedures are<br />

clearly defined.<br />

The <strong>disaster</strong> such as Flood, Drought, cyclone, earthquakes, hail fall/Snowfall etc. can cause damages to<br />

crops, plantations, and soils. To avoid the losses in future due to above Natural calamities if Occurs the<br />

Department has instructed to the Staff working in the field as follows<br />

1. Every Village level Agril, Assistant should stay at headquarter and remain present in jurisdiction<br />

Every day.<br />

2. If any Natural calamity occurs in jurisdiction immediately contact to Supervisor.<br />

3. Don’t switch off mobile phone or contact phone.<br />

4. Remain in phone contact of higher officials.<br />

5. Remain in contact with Grampanchayat, sarpanch, police patil, Talati, Gramsevak.<br />

6. Inspect waterbodies (N.B. C.N.B.) frequently to avoid damage to crops and soil due to excess<br />

water.<br />

7. Contact immediately to District control room in emergency situation if occurs.<br />

2. ORIENTATION AND TRAINING FOR DISASTER RESPONSE PLAN AND PROCEDURE<br />

UNDERTAKEN SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED DURING EMERGENCY OPERATIONS<br />

PREPERED TO THE OFFICIALS AND STAFF<br />

Training for Disaster response are arranged at taluka level as follows<br />

The sub divisional Agriculture Officer shri A.R. Kale (Jalna, Jafrabad, Badnapur, Bhokardan)<br />

And Partur shri Bardale will Supervise the training programme for <strong>disaster</strong> response are arranged at<br />

taluka level.<br />

3. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED DURING EMERGENCY OPERATIONS IMPARTED TO<br />

THE OFFICIALS AND THE STAFF<br />

Officials and the staff is trained about the emergency operations and suggestions to staff given are as<br />

under<br />

1. Communicate the messages received and required urgently to subordinate and higher officers in<br />

emergency<br />

2. Contact to the control room urgently<br />

3. Use available resources in local situations ex. First Aid Box, Taint, Bullock cart, Tractor etc.<br />

4. In Flood situation inspect waterbodies (N.B., C.N.B) frequently and if necessary repair it<br />

urgently with the help of local people.<br />

5. Keep with the list of available equipments, vehicles, instruments, in village or proximity.<br />

6. Keep the <strong>information</strong> of the people staff having swimming and driving skills and own vehicles<br />

7. Keep first aid box with all necessary medicines, Bandages, ointments etc if required any material<br />

demand it to P.H.C. near it.<br />
