National Sports and Conditioning Association<br />

The Certification Commission of the National Sports and Conditioning Association<br />

(NSCA) has elected two members to its executive council, both of whom have previously<br />

served in this capacity. Jaynie Bjornaraa, CSCS, D, is an assistant professor on the<br />

Doctor of Physical Therapy faculty at the College of St. Catherine, in Minneapolis,<br />

Minnesota. She holds a board certification from the American Physical Therapy<br />

Association (APTA) as a Sports Clinical Specialist. She is also a Certified Athletic<br />

Trainer, and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Dr. Donald<br />

Chu, CSCS, D, NSCA-CPT, D, is the director of the Athercare Fitness and Rehabilitation<br />

Clinic, in Castro Valley, California; part of the adjunct faculty to the Ohlone College<br />

physical therapist assistant program; and a past NSCA president. —|<br />

Power Plate<br />

Esporta Health and Fitness Clubs in Europe are the first<br />

to install Power Plate’s new vibration machines, which are<br />

fitted with ProTRAC software, a CRM tool designed to track<br />

customer usage. Created in response to requests from endusers,<br />

ProTRAC also serves as a “debit account” for minutes<br />

spent on Power Plate equipment. Both the pro5 and pro5<br />

AIRdaptive models can be fitted with proTRAC, which requires<br />

users to swipe their token before stepping onto the machine.<br />

<strong>In</strong> other news from the company, Lady of America Franchise Corporation is installing<br />
