a great success and that your delegates enjoyed their time in<br />
Malaysia. I hope the National Fitness Council and IHRSA can<br />
continue to build on a strong foundation and cooperate on a<br />
variety of initiatives and programs. IHRSA’s tagline, “Success<br />
by Association,” is indeed very apt. My ministry officers will<br />

> Just a quick note to say congratulations to IHRSA on a very<br />
well organized and successful European Congress (despite<br />
having to deal with the French transit strikes!). The congress<br />
was very inspiring for me; I made some very good work contacts<br />
and reconnected with old friends!<br />

> The tribute to Arthur Jones in the December issue (see “An<br />
Appreciation: Arthur Jones,” pg. 42) was interesting. I’d just like<br />
to add that, more than anyone, he was responsible for starting<br />
the fitness revolution that’s now lasted for several decades.<br />
He simply made it “cool” to work out.<br />
By the way, I’m the guy with the beard in the photos of Arthur<br />
