POST OFFICE, ABERDEEN.

The office is open to the public for ordinary business on Week Days from
6-45 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 1 iJ.m.
to 2 p.m.
Postage Stamps, &c., can be had and letters, &c., registered from 9 p.m.
to 6-45 a.m., and all day on Sunday, 1st door Shiprow.
Postage on Inland Letters, &c., and Parcels may be prepaid at the Head
Office in money instead of stamps provided the amount isaid be in no case less
than £5.
The Money Order Office is open on Week Days only, from 9 a.m. to 6
p.m., and in this office Money Order, Postal Order, Savings Bank, Government
Stock, and Government Insurance and Annuity Business is transacted ;
and Dog, Gun, and Brewer's Licences, Patent, Bankruptcy, and Civil Service
Stamps are issued. Postal Order Business is transacted and Savings Bank
deposits accepted at the Stamp Counter from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Telegraph Office is open always. On Week Days Messages are
taken in at the Public Counter from 6-45 a.m. to 9 p.m., and during the Night
and on Sundays at the Delivery Office and Instn;ment Room, 1st and 2nd
doors, Shipi-ow.
Holidays.—'New Year's Day, first Monday in May, and fourth Monday in
September. On these days the Office will be open throughout the day for Telegraph
Business, Delivery of Poste Hestante Letters, Registration of Letters,
and Sale of Stamps, but not for Money Order, Savings Bank, Insurance or
Annuity, Postal Order, or Parcel Post Business.

A letter posted unpaid is chargeable on delivery with double postage ; if
insufficiently paid, with double the deficiency.
No letter may exceed 18 inches in length, 9 in width, or 6 in depth, unless
it be sent to or from a Government office.
RE-DlRECnON—{Inland).
No charge is made for the re-direction of letters (including registered letters)
whether re-directed by an officer of the Post Office or by an agent of the
addressee after delivery, provided in the latter case that the letters are reposted
not later than the day (Sundays and public holidays not being counted)
after delivery, and that they do not appear to have been opened.
He-directed letters which are re-posted later than the day after delivery v/ill
be liable to charge at the prepaid rate ; any which appear to have been opened
will be charged as freshly posted unpaid letters.
