Births, Marriages, and Deaths will be registered without any fee or<br />

penalty, if intimated within the following periods, viz. :<br />

Births 21 days.<br />

Marriages 3 ,,<br />

Deaths 8 ,,<br />

hi Registering Births it is necessary to state the date and place <strong>of</strong> the parents'<br />

Ma.rriage.<br />

All Children must be Vaccinated, or some certificate given, within, Six<br />

months after birth, by a duly qualified Medical Practitioner, whose Certificate<br />

<strong>of</strong> Vaccination must be returned to the Registrar within three days<br />

after the operation.<br />

Under the Friendly Societies' Act, 1875, and Relative Statutes, no money<br />

can be paid by any Friendly Society or Industrial Assurance Company on the<br />

death <strong>of</strong> any person, except on production <strong>of</strong> the Registrar's Certificate <strong>of</strong><br />

the Death. Fee for Certificate, Is. , or when application filled up Ijy Registrar,<br />

Is. 3d.<br />

Under the Marriage Notice (<strong>Scotland</strong>) Act, 1878, notice <strong>of</strong> intention to<br />

marry is now received by Registrars from persons residing in any part <strong>of</strong><br />

their Districts—the fee being 2s. 6d. in each case.<br />
