SITUATED in one of the healthiest and loveliest parts of Scotland,
forming a most excellent "Winter and Spring Eesidence. Climate
mild and equable, completely sheltered from north and east winds.
The arrangements of the House are beyond all question the finest in
Britain. A most complete system of heating is adapted over the
whole house at an average of 60 degrees. The Sanitary arrangements
are perfect. Handsome Dining and Drawing Room, Eeading
Room, Ladies' Writing Room, Large Billiard Room with two tables,
a thoroughly equipped Gymnasium and Recreation Room, 70 ft. by
45 ft., with permanent Stage and Dressing Rooms, Day Nursery,
Private Sitting Rooms, and 150 Bedrooms, with a Passenger Elevator
to all the floors. The Baths have been reconstructed and now comprise
Small Swimming Bath, Russian and Turkish, Plunge, Douche,
Spray, Needle, Sitz, Vapour, Medicated, and Pine Baths. Massage
treatment for Ladies and Gentlemen under experienced London
trained attendants. The grounds extending over 20 acres have been
laid out with great taste and planted with a variety of Pines and
other trees and shrubs. Splendid Red Ash and Grass Tennis Courts.
A Bowling Green is now being laid out. A Golf Course of 9 Holes
has been acquired by Mr. Philp, it is within ten minutes walk of
the House, and is of a fine sporting character.
The Trossach's. Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond, Loch Tay, Loch
Awe, Loch Earn, &c., are all within easy access.
