504.3 Vertical Alignment ASCII Reports January 18, 2013 When vertical alignment reports in ASCII text format are required, the following information shall be included in the ASCII reports: • Station and elevation for all vertical alignment key-points (VPI, VPC, VPT, etc.) • Entrance and exit grades for vertical curves. • Vertical curve length. • K-Value for each vertical curve. • Stopping sight distance for crest vertical curves. • Station equations. • All stations, distances, grades, and elevations shall be shown to three decimal places. The vertical alignment reports shall be stored in the \geopak\output directory using the following file naming convention: nnnnn_Profile_Name.txt nnnnn = Five digit PID Number Name = The GEOPAK COGO Chain name Example: 12345_Profile_PS185P.txt Each vertical alignment report shall be stored as a separate ASCII text file. The GEOPAK Print Profile command can be used to generate an ASCII report containing the required information. From the GEOPAK Coordinate Geometry dialog, select Element > Profile > Utility to access the dialog shown below, select the desired profile, and then select Print. ODOT CADD Engineering Standards 99
