The horizontal alignment reports shall be stored in the \geopak\output directory using the following file<br />

naming convention:<br />

nnnnn_Chain_Name.txt<br />

nnnnn = Five digit PID Number<br />

Name = The GEOPAK COGO Chain name<br />

Example: 12345_Chain_CLPS185.txt<br />

Each horizontal alignment report shall be stored as a separate ASCII text file.<br />

The GEOPAK COGO command Describe Chain can be used to generate the ASCII report files<br />

containing the required information for each chain. From the GEOPAK Coordinate Geometry dialog,<br />

select Element > Chain > Utility to access the dialog shown below. Select the desired alignment, and<br />

then select the Describe command to generate the alignment description.<br />

The results <strong>of</strong> the Describe Alignment command can be saved in an ASCII text file by selecting View ><br />

Command Output > Save Content As… as shown below.<br />
