500 ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS<br />
501 Information Exchange and Electronic Submissions<br />
501.1 General<br />
All <strong>CADD</strong> data submitted or exchanged with ODOT shall conform to the requirements <strong>of</strong> this manual.<br />
Organizations exchanging <strong>CADD</strong> data with ODOT are responsible for ensuring they are using the current<br />
version <strong>of</strong> these requirements and all ODOT MicroStation/GEOPAK files.<br />
502 File Format<br />
502.1 General<br />
All <strong>CADD</strong> information to be submitted or exchanged with the <strong>Department</strong> shall be developed per the<br />
current MicroStation and GEOPAK version listed on the <strong>CADD</strong> <strong>Engineering</strong> <strong>Standards</strong> Web page, unless<br />
otherwise specified in the Scope <strong>of</strong> Services. This requirement ensures that ODOT receives a product<br />
that is immediately usable on ODOT’s <strong>CADD</strong> system.<br />
The content <strong>of</strong> all final submission MicroStation design files delivered to the <strong>Department</strong> shall match the<br />
content <strong>of</strong> the printed Mylar sheets and/or Tiff Images. Editing the Mylar’s and/or Tiff Images without<br />
updating the <strong>CADD</strong> files shall not be permitted.<br />
All projects are required to submit the following files regardless <strong>of</strong> the PDP (Old or New) the project is<br />
scoped to follow:<br />
• Existing Plans (Roadway and Bridge)<br />
• Designer Office Calculations (such as Pavement, Earthwork, and Structure Quantities)<br />
If the scope <strong>of</strong> services requires supplemental engineering data files (ie. Hec-Ras, etc.), the <strong>Department</strong><br />
requires that all supplemental engineering data files be delivered in the native format <strong>of</strong> the system used<br />
to produce it. Reference the respective Technical Manual (i.e. Bridge Design Manual, etc.) for s<strong>of</strong>tware<br />
requirements.<br />
Any questions regarding items not included in this manual, or interpretations <strong>of</strong> this manual should be<br />
addressed to the <strong>CADD</strong> Section in the Central Office, Office <strong>of</strong> <strong>CADD</strong> and Mapping Services.<br />
Consultants, contractors, and suppliers should direct questions regarding interpretations <strong>of</strong> this manual to<br />
the <strong>CADD</strong> Section through the ODOT Project Manager/ Job Manager/ Consultant Manager, as<br />
applicable.<br />
