Drivers can also park free in Moreton in Marsh ( although this can be tricky on Tuesday market days). Two very different galleries opened here in 2010 - The Moreton Gallery displays paintings and crafts in a friendly ‘working’ studio. Further up the High Street Celia Lendis opened her modern and light Contemporary Gallery in September. ”People often think that they aren’t wealthy enough to buy art, or that they don’t know enough. This isn’t the case. It is collectors that keep galleries fresh and moving, and without the support of both established and new collectors, art can never thrive.’ GET CREATIVE! Sometimes it’s important to have somewhere to go, something to do, which will entertain and be good fun for everyone, the family and/or friends. Just off the High Street is Beatrix Craft Studio, a ‘must know about’ for mums with youngsters, and great fun for a teenage party or a team break from work, lifting tension and encouraging new ideas to flow. Beatrix Craft Studio was set up by Emily Bright, herself a young Mum with lots of experience in knowing how to survive something as potentially messy as paints and self expression! She has thought of and provides all the necessary survival kit – a fantastic range of ready to paint dinnerware, ornaments and home décor pieces, paints and aprons - and a capable and friendly team with the tools and time to help you along the way –and do all the cleaning up! Select an item of pottery from the huge range of stock - and get creative! Whatever your ability the tools and time are here to help you. Return in a few days to collect your fired item, ready to pop on your shelf or wrap up for Granny - either way you’ll have something unique to be cherished. Parties can be booked, packages tailored to suit your needs and budget – and the Host receives a free souvenir personalised by their guests. For seasoned stitchers and complete novices Woodgate Needlecrafts Vikki and Sara invite you to call in and see their great range of products & accessories, including a beautiful range of cross stitch embroidery kits.
