Cllr David Harvey, Cabinet Member for the Environment said, "Local residents are
keen recyclers and since the closure of Dean Pit, we have been exploring how we
could provide a new facility for residents living in the north of the District. We
believe that creating a household recycling centre at Greystones would provide a
useful service for householders in Chipping Norton and the surrounding area, but
before going ahead we are asking residents as we want to be sure that this is what
they want."
Cllr Simon Hoare, Cabinet Member for Resources said, "We are convinced that this
will be a good use for what is, in essence, a redundant piece of land in the Council's
ownership. I hope that lots of people will come and see the plans and give their
views as this will help shape our planning application."
