A) B) C) • Trace the shape in the same scale of the tank’s curved base with the appropriate subdivision in segments and the relevant quotas. Keep in mind the central hole for the waste pipe. • Trace the section of a single segment in full-size scale ,1:1 (a1). Leave a sufficient abundance on the external edge (a2) to accomodate the roundness of the base. • Cut out mant segments of K-FLEX sheet, of a necessary quantity to complete the covering of the base, and place them on the tank glueing them with K 420 adhesive (b1). • With the same adhesive glue the joints between one segment and another. • If necessary, cut out and apply a joining ring around the waste pipe, with elastomeric material. • Repeat the operation for the insulation of the cover, taking into consideration the possible variations compared to the base. The insulation of the accessory parts on the tank can be carried out before or after the covering of the walls. The installer will decide based on his own experiance. The accessory parts, usually of a cyndrical shape, are insulated with appropriate sections of K-FLEX sheet cut to size and applied with K 420 adhesive. 1 2 K-FLEX IC CLAD - SMALL AND MEDIUM TANKS Insulation with sections of K-FLEX elastomeric sheet • From a K-FLEX sheet cut out the covering sections of the tank’s wall (1-2), with the appropriate opening for the accessory parts. • Apply the shaped sections around the wall of the tank glueing them with K 420 adhesive.With the same adhesive also glue the joining edges between the sections. Glue with K 420 adhesive the joints between the segments (of the base and cover) and the sheet sections applied ti the wall. Give particular care to the joints.A precise job without distortions, obtained during the insulation stage, will prove to be valuable during the application IC CLAD finishing.
