La Caravane
Both a project archive and a video/
film viewing area, La Caravane is a
mobile structure that will bring Ateliers
de Rennes to the public. It provides a
library and a film collection linked to the
artistic project: introductions, catalogues,
"fine books", as well as artist videos,
documentaries, cinema, and a broad
range of online resources. Through
this deliberately limited and changing
collection, visitors can become familiar
with the inspiration behind Les Prairies.
Furthermore, La Caravane will also be a
space for discussion and contemplation.

The artistic project brought to you by Lucidar
for Ateliers de Rennes 2012 grants considerable
importance to publishing projects available in
various forms, and published and distributed in
different ways:
Literature :
Over 5 writers have been invited to write a
short - new - text that fits into the project context,
i.e. the Prairie, the West, etc.. This invitation is
inspired by the popular American format of dime
novels, which covered various subjects as well as
Westerns. The aim is to revisit popular narrative
genres and to form a collection of small pieces
that are as varied in their subject matter as in
their literary approach.

Just like Buffalo Bill's show, the legend of the
Wild West was written even before it was won.
Published by Beadle and Adams as early as
1860, Dime Novels played a role in spreading
the legend and celebrating the exploits of the
pioneers that defied the prairie and its inherent
dangers.
